【英語】distance / range（距離・範囲）の意味の違いと使い分け

distance と range はどちらも距離に関係しますが、意味の中心が異なります。distance は2点間の実距離、range は到達可能な範囲・幅を示します。

まず定義の差

• distance: 点Aから点Bまでの距離
• range: 届く範囲、有効距離帯、幅

使い分け基準

1. 地点間の長さを測る → distance
2. 性能や活動のカバー領域 → range
3. 定型: long distance / within range
