【英語】gloss / gross の意味の違いと使い分け

gloss と gross は綴りが近い一方で、意味は大きく異なります。gloss は「光沢・注釈・表面的説明」、gross は「総計の・ひどく不快な」。美化や説明の語か、総量や強い否定評価の語かで判定します。
