acheの意味と用例文
[名](継続的、断続的な)痛み
→[動]痛む、ズキズキする
☆ポイント☆痛みを感じて収まらない、継続して痛みを感じている状態。例えば頭痛や腹痛など。painと比べると少し控えめで、ズキズキ、じんわりと痛む場合が多い。
I have an ache in my head.
頭に痛みがあります(=I have a headache.)

[形]ヒリヒリして痛い、炎症している
→[名]痛み
☆ポイント☆炎症や赤く腫れて傷んでいる状態を指す。風邪をひいて喉がヒリヒリと痛む場合など。

sore
a painful, often red, place on your body caused by a wound or infection
Longman現代英英辞典(シソーラス含む)の説明も見ていきます。
painについては
the feeling you have when part of your body hurts
(体の一部が痛みを持つ感覚)
the feeling of unhappiness you have when you are sad, upset etc
(悲しかったり苦しい時に不幸だと感じる感覚)
という説明に「心身的な痛み」ということが分かります。
acheについては
a continuous pain that is not sharp or very strong
(鋭くは無く、あまり強くも無い継続する痛み)
headache, toothache, and backache
(頭痛や歯痛、背中の痛みなど)
という「じんわりと続く痛み」という説明がありました。
soreについては
a painful, often red, place on your body caused by a wound or infection
(傷や感染によって引き起こされた、しばしば赤く腫れて痛みを伴う体の部分)
という説明です。「赤く腫れてヒリヒリする痛み」というニュアンスですね。

まとめpain/ache/soreの違い
