She said that she was tired.

She told me that she was tired.

me

I speak English at work.

I talked to Emi after work.

say to + 人

He said to me, “Be careful.”

He said me ...

He said that the store was closed.

He told me that the store was closed.

me
He told that ...

She said, “Please wait here.”

She told me to wait there.

tell + 人 + to do

Cambridge Grammar
say + to不定詞
tell + 人 + to do

She speaks French and English.

She talks French.

I talked to Ken about the schedule.

speak to + 人

Professor Lee will speak about climate change.

I talked to my friend about the movie.

I need to speak to you.
は、
I need to talk to you.

speak to a customer

talk to a friend

speak with the manager

Can I speak to Ms. Brown, please?

donate

/ˈdoʊ.neɪt/

donate A to B / donate to B

contribute

/kənˈtrɪb.juːt/

contribute A to B / contribute to B

donate A to B｜AをBへ寄付する

We donated old books to the community center.

She donated part of her salary to the relief fund.

Several companies donated computers to local schools.

He donates blood twice a year.

She chose to donate a kidney to her brother.

They donated warm clothing last winter.

The food was donated by local restaurants.

Volunteers sorted the donated goods.

contribute A to B｜AをBへ提供する

Each member contributed an idea to the discussion.

She contributed several articles to the magazine.

Employees contributed money to the emergency fund.

Her research contributed to the development of the new treatment.

Regular exercise can contribute to better sleep.

Several factors contributed to the delay.

These changes contributed to reducing waste.

contributed to reduceではなく、contributed to reducing とします。

She donated $50 to the charity.

She contributed $50 to the community fund.

donation

make a donation to / blood donation

contribution

make a contribution to / contribution to success

Thank you for your generous donation.

Her greatest contribution was her technical expertise.

donor

contributor

🔺 We donated the project by sharing our expertise.

⭕️ We contributed to the project by sharing our expertise.

🔺 She donated old clothes the shelter.

⭕️ She donated old clothes to the shelter.

vary by …

Prices vary by region.

The results vary depending on the method used.

Working hours vary from company to company.

The size of the rooms varies considerably.

vary depending on the situation：状況によって変わる

vary from person to person：人によって異なる

特に differ from … と differ in …

differ from A は「Aと違う」、differ in cost / size / approach は「費用・大きさ・方法の点で違う」という意味です。

「地域によって価格が変わる」なら prices vary by region、「この商品は前モデルと違う」なら this product differs from the previous model が分かりやすい選択です。

shoutの発音は /ʃaʊt/。

I shouted to my friend across the street.

The fans shouted encouragement to the runners.

shout atとshout toの違い

Please don’t shout at me.

The fans screamed with excitement when the singer appeared.

“Get out!” she screamed.

“What a beautiful view!” she exclaimed.

“We won!”（勝った！）

“We won!” she shouted.

“We won!” she screamed.

“We won!” she exclaimed.
